I come from a grounded family. My ma is the strongest person I know – strong enough to carry a muddy, twig haired kid from first breath to adulthood. My dad was clever enough to let me just get on with it and know I’d probably be back at some point. My husband has somehow put up with being pulled headfirst into many an idiocy and come out smiling.

I want to celebrate being earth bound and curious. I want to celebrate strength and the power in just getting lost and wandering off the beaten path.

This is my space to talk about whatever delights me, from my family, my desire for the curious and unusual, my hopes for a better future and my undying love affair with the wilderness and the written word. Let’s go on a journey together, after all you’re never lost if you’re in good company.
